THE ROLE: This pivotal position involves being the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a professional and friendly representation of the organisation. Responsibilities include managing the director’s diary, coordinating meetings, maintaining office tidiness, and addressing facilities issues. The role requires a proactive approach to handling telephone and email enquiries, managing appointments, booking travel and accommodation, and supporting office administration and facilities management.
THE PERSON: The ideal candidate will be educated to A-level standard or equivalent, with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately in writing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email packages is essential, along with a polite, calm, and confident manner both in person and on the phone. The candidate should be methodical and well-organised, with previous experience in reception, office administration, or customer service being advantageous. Experience with online interfaces for updating websites and some familiarity with diary or meeting management would be beneficial.
