Our client is looking for a HR Advisor for a 15-month maternity cover contract to join the team.
This is a varied, hands on role that covers recruitment, employee relations, payroll, learning and development, and HR administration. You’ll work closely with the wider HR team to ensure smooth day to day operations and contribute to a positive and compliant working environment.
To be considered, you must have payroll experience and hold a CIPD qualification (or be working towards one)

- Facilitate onboarding and induction for new starters
- Prepare offer letters, contracts, and complete due diligence
- Coordinate recruitment activities including drafting adverts, posting jobs, shortlisting, and interview scheduling
- Support employee engagement initiatives and assist in resolving workplace concerns
- Manage general HR queries on policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure GDPR compliance
- Keep internal HR systems, organisation charts, and bulletins up to date
- Support the probation and performance development processes
- Process monthly payroll changes and administer starter/leaver paperwork
- Support year-end reporting, including P11Ds and PAYE returns
- Maintain and report on HR data using Iris Cascade
- Source and book training courses, logging and tracking completions
- Support apprenticeship schemes and compliance training
- Contribute to wellbeing initiatives and organise internal learning events
- Proven HR experience in a similar role
- Payroll processing experience is essential
- CIPD qualified or currently working towards Level 3 or higher
- Strong administrative, communication, and organisational skills
- Confident working independently and managing multiple responsibilities
- Approachable, professional, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion
