Group Accounts Assistant 
City – Hybrid
£35,000 - £40,000

My client is a leading membership body based in the City, they are looking for a Group Accounts Assistant who can confidently read balance sheets and has excellent communication skills to work with their membership base. You will be responsible for calculating bonds and insurance premiums correctly for their members to ensure they are compliant with their policy.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years working within a finance function either inhouse, within accountancy firm or auditing company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an evolving team that offer career advancement.

Role: 
  • Calculate bonds and insurance premiums 
  • Provide front line account management to a portfolio of members
  • Reviewing members accounts and balance sheets to produce correct calculations
  • Reviewing member's accounts to enable correct calculation of financial protection requirements
  • Ensure that invoices are generated correctly based on premium rates which changes annually
  • Support the Senior Financial Protection Manager and other colleagues with ad-hoc duties such as data analysis and process reviews

Experience:
  • 3+ years experience within a Finance function (in-house, accountancy or auditing company)
  • In depth practical understanding of management accounts
  • Must be able to read a balance sheet
  • Process driven with a proactive approach to improving processes
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Good stakeholder management, written and verbal skills
Experience with MS Dynamics is desirable but not essential
