The Client: -

Overall job purpose: -
To lead creative services across design and multimedia to develop and deliver high quality and impactful content across all areas of the business, managing and supporting the team to develop their professional expertise and taking a hands-on approach, particular in multimedia delivery.

 Principal activities/output of the job: -

  • Lead the creative team through effective management and supervision of the Multimedia Production Assistant and the Creative Designer to ensure that projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the appropriate quality standard.
  • Set and monitor objectives for the team and individuals, aligned to the Events and Creative strategy and in line with the policies and guidelines.
  • Support team in sharing creative ideas and best practice taking account of our brand guidelines and the creative industry’s emerging trends.
  • Engage the team in developing new skills and training whilst consistently reviewing the team’s focus, content production and use of platforms and technologies.
  • Manage and produce the organisation's multimedia content (creating, editing, updating, and maintaining) in conjunction with the Multimedia Production Assistant.
  • Take responsibility for the media suite set-up for all stages of filming including lighting, framing, audio, props, equipment, scripts, and autocue.
  • Provide instructional media and design insight, to determine the best media and design approach for subject matter, considering audience requirements, channels, timescales, and resources.
  • Support with the maintenance and expansion of our brand guidelines and design systems to ensure all required components are present, branded or brandable as appropriate, and ensure that all multimedia and design content meets those brand guidelines and is accessible and engaging.
  • Build strong professional relationships and information-sharing networks with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop clear briefs for the multimedia content produced and ensure all are briefed on their expectations during production to ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
  • Work closely with Learning provision, PR & Marketing and Event colleagues in a collaborative manner to deliver timely and effective content suitable for the delivery channel that enables ease of use from the customer perspective. Respond to critique and feedback and adapt the final objects, improving processes to maximise efficiency across the team.
  • Oversee, manage, and evolve the various podcast and YouTube channels and the video and webinar recordings on the website.
  • Share various multimedia content across social media platforms where necessary and conform to the organisation social media strategy and conventions.
  • Work with the Events team to support live event planning. Manage and direct the streaming or recording when required.
  • Manage the organisation and maintenance of the digital assets library to log all relevant multimedia content and imagery.
  • Develop and lead on strategies, content plans and policies within the department, including technical and creative standard such as streaming and health and safety.
  • Review, monitor and evaluate projects, to help guide future content and generate new content ideas, developing appropriate reporting structures to enable a continuous improvement model.
  • Research and review new technologies and make recommendations to keep the organisation at the forefront of developments in digital content development, rich media use and distribution channels (mobile, social media etc).
  • Any other duties that may reasonably be required commensurate with the level of the post and the skills of the post holder.

Peron Specification: -

  • Extensive experience of Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Premier Pro.
  • Educated to degree level in relevant technical area OR a strong portfolio of significant professional experience across video production, including direction, production, filming, editing and postproduction.
  • Technical Excellence in video and audio production and editing multimedia material for e- learning and/or marketing purposes.
