My client is an 'Ofsted Outstanding' Industry led Academy.

The Role:-
To line manage the Registry Manager and to collaborate productively with Quality and Enhancement, Business Intelligence, IT, Curriculum delivery teams.

Key responsibilities for this role:
To deliver a service meeting the requirements for high quality, complete and timely student information
To uphold and enhance practices for collection, storage and processing of data;
To advise and mentor staff in use of technology to improve data quality;
To ensure compliance with statutory requirements of external and internal stakeholders for data storage and Data Protection, audit, financial management and forecasting

Key Accountabilities

  • Leadership and Management - be an integral part of the Academies senior management team. Line manage the Registry Manager.
  • Funding - take a direct lead in improving processes / achieving efficient and effective operations to ensure the Academy maximises funding contracts and enrolment targets.
  • Compliance - lead on the compliance requirements for internal and external audit of learner data and processes as well as funding agencies, awarding organisations, exams and Tier 4. Provide advice to and collaborate with Quality and Enhancement, Business Intelligence, Technology stakeholders.
  • Information Systems - lead on use/ operation of the student records system; briefing and mentoring Academy staff to drive forward the quality, accurate, timely and complete mandatory returns. Work with stakeholders to ensure the system is used effectively. Take advantage of developing methodology to optimise available resources.
  • Reporting - develop and enhance the dissemination, understanding and use of data to inform key decisions and empower data ownership throughout the FRA.
  • Resource utilisation – to improve collaboration with interested parties to design the overall delivery timetable for the curriculum, optimising use of resources.


Person Spec:-
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent professional qualifications
Evidence of CPD.
English & Maths: minimum GCSE grade 4 (Grade C) or equivalent
IT related qualification (desirable

Knowledge
Detailed knowledge of FE College student information systems and their operation.
Demonstrable and detailed knowledge of FE funding streams, ILR and funding claims.
Evidence of understanding of college admissions, enrolment and registration processes.
Evidence of understanding of timetabling and resource allocation processes.
Knowledge of MS Office packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Civica REMS highly desirable.
Knowledge of CRM applications in an education environment (highly desirable).
Knowledge of SharePoint (highly desirable).
Knowledge of Office 365.
Knowledge of relational databases.
Knowledge of technical systems and their integration.

Experience
At least 3 years’ management experience in an education establishment in Registry, MIS or similar function.
At least 1-year experience of line management of three or more staff and performance-by-objective systems.
Experience of project management to evaluate, procure and implement systems in an education environment (highly desirable).
Experience of developing and implementing effective administrative systems.
Experience of working directly with students.
Experience of using CRM (highly desirable).

Ability to form strong and productive partnerships across teams, confident managing at a senior level.
Evidenced organisational ability and planning skills.
