Immediate start – they will look at a maximum of 2 weeks’ notice.

My client, a progressive Media Agency are looking for a People Manager who has come from a similar creative background. The successful candidate will have experience as a HR Generalist and have line managed/mentored a HR Assistant. You will be CIPD Qualified, have a hands-on approach and be confident in an operational HR position.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with managers on key people processes (recruitment, performance management, benefits, development programs, etc).
  • Coach, support, mentor and challenge managers in the application of HR policies and practices, providing advice and guidance on complex HR issues.
  • Support in keeping UK policies and procedures, including staff handbook up to date, and ensuring they are communicated effectively and adhered to.
  • Support the People Coordinator with the full recruitment cycle in collaboration with hiring managers.
  • Manage any immigration and visa processes in collaboration with Company lawyers.
  • Support with the roll out of relevant training for 2021 whilst seeking out new development opportunities for our talent.
  • Design and deliver ad hoc training on a variety of topics relating to manager and employee best practice.
  • Lead on promoting the UK benefits ensuring they are being communicated and utilised effectively.
  • Support with the pay review process and benchmarking activities.
  • Work closely with the Finance Team to ensure payroll is approved each month and they are kept informed of changes.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining, generating and analysing reports from various internal systems and portals including ADP and producing valuable insights.
  • Support the running and management of the monthly People Forum.
  • Management of the People Coordinator providing direction and motivation, and to covering their duties when out of the office.

 
Skills and experience

  • Strong hands-on HR operational experience.
  • Experience within a start-up or creative environment is preferable.
  • CIPD qualified
  • ADP iCHMsystem knowledge is desirable
  • Line management experience and a good track record of developing people
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication and numerical skills
  • Experience of supporting with and overseeing payroll.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability manipulate and interpret data,
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills with experience of owning and leading projects
  • Practical, pragmatic and personable
  • A team player who can work independently but also not afraid to muck in
