L&D Manager - Technology/IT
West London – working from home due to Covid-19

My client is a global market leading software (SaaS) company with progressive growth plans. They are looking for a L&D Manager to develop and implement learning strategies and programmes and run both technical and soft skills training. The successful candidate should be confident rolling out L&D programmes globally and be experienced in executing change and transition projects. This position combines both strategic direction planning and implementing e-learning platforms along with organising training logistics and collating training feedback. The ideal candidate will come from a Technology background.


  • Setting the vision and strategy for internal learning, aligning learning processes with strategic and tactical plans
  • Creating and executing learning strategies and programmes
  • Developing and implementing learning programs that make the best use of available resources
  • Evaluating individual, functional and organizational development needs
  • Implementing various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)
  • Designing and delivering educational materials, e-learning courses, seminars, workshops and other trainings
  • Updating learning programs to ensure that they are current
  • Sourcing and contracting training and L&D Specialists and negotiating contracts
  • Reviewing learning materials from a variety of vendors and select materials with appropriate content
  • Maintaining relationships with vendors and consultants
  • Creating and managing a learning budget, ensuring that operations are within budget
  • Teaching learning methods and skills to instructors and supervisors  
  • Supporting managers develop their team members through career pathing
  • Assessing the effectiveness and success of learning programmes and development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a L&D Manager
  • Experience within Technology industry
  • Experience working in complex, global organisation with exposure to international stakeholders
  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS) and/or e-learning platforms
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPLP) is a plus
  • Excellent training, facilitation and coaching skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of effective learning and development methods.

  • Practical and pragmatic.
  • Emotionally intelligent.
