THE ROLE:
The DT Technician will provide essential support within the Design Technology Department, ensuring the preparation and maintenance of resources, and assisting both staff and pupils. Key responsibilities include maintaining a clean and orderly working environment, preparing equipment and materials, supporting pupils during lessons, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. The role also involves administrative tasks such as stocktaking, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.

THE PERSON:

• The ideal candidate will have GCSEs in English and Mathematics (A-C) and further education in a related field such as Art, Photography, Design Technology, or Textiles.
• Experience working in a school environment, particularly within an Art or Design Technology department, is essential.
• Strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a collaborative attitude are crucial.
• The candidate should be proficient in using ICT, including databases and spreadsheets, and have experience with machinery and equipment.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is paramount.
