THE ROLE:
As a Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accounting systems with a particular focus on recording purchases and staff expenses. Your responsibilities will include managing the end-to-end supplier invoice and expenses process, reconciling the main bank account monthly, and supporting the wider finance team. You will also assist in preparing monthly schedules for prepayments and accruals, liaise with payroll, and support the management accountant in preparing monthly management accounts and the annual audit process.

THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified or part-qualified AAT professional with experience in a high-volume sales or purchase ledger team. You must be numerate and accurate with a high level of attention to detail, possess excellent communication skills, and have a customer-focused approach with a positive "can do" attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with accounting systems, ideally SAGE 200 Professional, are essential. A minimum of 8 GCSEs grades A-C, including an A in Maths, and at least 2 A-levels or equivalent grades A-C are required.
