The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and strategically minded Senior Partnership Manager to join a growing education-focused organisation. This is a senior, relationship-led role suited to someone who excels at managing complex stakeholder partnerships, driving account growth and leading high-performing teams in a purpose-driven environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Education Delivery, you will take ownership of a portfolio of key commissioner relationships, ensuring strong client retention, service development and commercial growth. You will also line manage a team, supporting their delivery and strengthening their client engagement capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing strategic relationships with key stakeholders, acting as the senior point of contact
• Maintaining regular contact with partners to review service delivery, satisfaction and future needs
• Handling escalations and resolving complex relationship challenges
• Monitoring account performance, identifying risks and driving retention strategies
• Identifying opportunities for growth across existing accounts and service offerings
• Leading and contributing to strategic account review meetings
• Providing insights and market intelligence to inform service development
• Line managing and developing a team, including coaching on client communication and performance
• Monitoring delivery metrics, pipeline activity and operational performance across accounts
• Supporting reporting, forecasting and commercial planning alongside internal teams
• Ensuring visibility of quality standards and escalating concerns appropriately
About You
Essential:
• Proven experience in partnership management, account management or a similar client-facing role
• Strong understanding of public sector, education or commissioning environments
• Excellent relationship management skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
• Commercial awareness, including understanding of pipelines, revenue and account performance
• Experience managing or developing team members
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• A genuine interest in supporting positive outcomes for young people
Desirable:
• Experience within education, SEND, social care or a related sector
• Experience working with local authorities, schools or similar stakeholders
• Familiarity with CRM systems and reporting tools
