About the Role

Credit Controller – Birmingham
Salary: £30,000–£35,000
Contract: 6‑Month Fixed-Term Contract
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Birmingham (Office-Based, 5 Days per Week)
 
Overview:
Our client is a well-established and highly reputable law firm based in Birmingham they are seeking a Credit Controller to join their Finance team on an initial six‑month fixed‑term contract. Due to a particularly busy period with the firm’s financial year-end approaching in April, additional resource is required to support the existing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, stable, and supportive team, known for exceptionally high staff retention and a positive, collaborative working environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing UK credit control activities, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Supporting a small portfolio of international accounts.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Assisting with increased workload during the year-end period.
  • Utilising Aderant software for credit control processes.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in credit control, ideally within a professional services environment.
  • Legal sector experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
  • A proactive and organised approach, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work full-time on-site in Birmingham City Centre.
