Finance/Payroll Manager (Higher Education)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000
Location: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home
Contract: Full-time, permanent
 
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Finance Manager/Payroll Manager to join our client, a Higher Education institution based in the West End of London/Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career, with the chance to manage a team member while working closely with budget holders across the organisation, communicating finance information to Line Managers and manage the payroll process. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of financial operations, including:
  • Payroll processing.
  • Invoice management and approvals.
  • Supporting budget holders with financial queries.
  • Ensuring all transactions are signed off and compliant.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong communication skills – able to build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Previous experience in finance, ideally within Higher Education or a similar environment
  • Ambition to step into a management role and develop leadership skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
