A fantastic opportunity to join an established Membership organization in Central London as a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer.

The successful candidate will have at least two years’ recent experience providing 1st Line Helpdesk support. Experience supporting on Windows10/11, networking issues and user provision is essential.  

The Role:

  • Be responsible for provisioning users, systems, and relevant equipment across the business
  • Be responsible for the Service Desk, ensuring support processes are followed across the business
  • Ensure service levels are agreed and measured to deliver exceptional, high quality, accurate customer service first time and in every interaction
  • Work with the CRM and Website Support Engineer to develop the Service Desk
  • Support the physical infrastructure of the company IT system
  • Support the company telephone system
  • Provide support to users including applications such as MS Office (Outlook etc)
  • Work with the CRM and Website Support Engineer to develop and support ‘Super Users’ across the business
  • Ensure protection systems (eg anti-virus) are kept up to date
  • Daily housekeeping tasks to ensure system stability
  • Act as an escalation point for the IT Support Assistant
  • Support the rest of the IT team as required.

 
Skills and experience:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Server Systems, specifically Microsoft Azure, Active Directory and associated technologies
  • Experience of backup systems and methodology
  • Ability to diagnose and correct system issues, ensuring affected users are kept informed of progress
  • Ability to gain credibility and explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products
  • Strong customer service ethos.
