My client, an established engineering consultancy based in Central London, have a fantastic opportunity for a confident, flexible and positive HR Manager with previous experience in a standalone role and the ability to work autonomously.



  • Manage the full recruitment cycle
  • Carry out HR inductions and onboarding, manage probations and prepare all documentation
  • Administer all company benefits for employees
  • Assist the Director with annual salary reviews and bonus cycles, preparing recommendations and all paperwork associated with changes
  • Learning and Development – identify and address all L&D needs across the business and align training programmes accordingly
  • Performance and talent management
  • Lead all employee relations cases and provide HR generalist guidance to employees and managers, complying with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain and update HRIS, ensuring all records and documentation are compliant with GDPR
  • Manage and update HR policies and procedures to ensure they are kept up to date with current UK employment law
  • Prepare and submit monthly board reports


The Person

  • Significant relevant experience in a standalone HR Manager role
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with all Directors, employees and external clients
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Good knowledge of HRIS and IT systems such as Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Strong organisation skills managing administration, systems and workload effectively
