THE ROLE:
As a Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation meets all tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements for its corporate accounts. You will collaborate closely with the Deputy CFO to establish more effective processes and controls, ensuring the integrity of the company’s ledger.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing all financial control activities, managing the Accounts Payable process, preparing quarterly management group accounts, and overseeing external audits. Additionally, you will be responsible for tax preparation duties and providing comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy making and financial strategising. You must be qualified in either ACCA, ACA or CIMA equivalent.

THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will possess a practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques, along with solid knowledge of standard accountancy and finance best practices. Proficiency in relevant accounting packages and strong IT skills are essential. A strong understanding of tax codes and laws, coupled with excellent analytical skills, will enable you to effectively analyse financial reports. In-depth knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting is crucial, as are strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in English is essential, and fluency in additional European languages will be an advantage.
