The Role
- Manage and resolve mid to high complexity disputes between consumers and accredited businesses
- Assess and weigh up evidence, applying relevant legislation, codes of practice, and case law
- Deliver impartial, well-reasoned decisions that are clear, fair, and empathetic
- Communicate effectively with all parties, often in sensitive and challenging circumstances
- Balance a varied caseload while meeting deadlines and performance targets
- Contribute ideas to improve processes and enhance the overall dispute resolution service
- Background in alternative dispute resolution, case handling, or legal decision making
- Solid understanding of consumer and contract law
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — able to explain complex issues simply and persuasively
- A strong customer service ethos, with resilience in handling sensitive or challenging situations
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes to strict timelines
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce/Zendesk) and a law degree (advantageous but not essential)
